CO2

It is foreseen that in the next 50 years CO₂ emissions will reach 50 billion tons/year. The main goal of the game is to suppress the world CO₂ emissions during that period, while maintaining sustainable growth.

This is an economic game where the players, representing Non-governmental organizations - NGOs - working with the UN, have the task to create foundations to achieve this goal. But, for that to be accomplished, they must make agreements with fossil fuel power plants from energy companies, raise fund to present and implement projects to build green power plants, in exchange for Carbon Credits. The problem is, with such agreements and the CO₂ certificates, the organizations are giving permission to pollute, leaving them responsible for the carbon emissions produced by those companies, which is precisely what they don't want to do. So, the players must establish a balance between the money earned through certificated emissions issued and points, and the efficiency of their efforts to reduce the world CO₂ emissions and eliminate all the Carbon Credits from the Market.
Players must research new technologies to build the best green energy plants, re-forest the world, get positions in UN summits and regional goals, and find ways to make money without these ambiguous agreements.

However, during the process, the lobbies, will persuade this organizations to delay and sabotage the implementation and building of this sustainable growth of other organizations. Players need to get all the opportunities they have. Taking positions of the other NGO's to reach the goals faster and better is a good strategy in this world of the Carbon credits.

The game ends when the players manage to suppress all the world emissions or when the market is empty. Despite all the players simultaneously contributing to the elimination of global emissions, each one plays for their organizations to get the most points at the end of the game. It is not, in any way a cooperative game. Much on the contrary, it's a very competitive one.
